Smålandstriennalen/Art as Social Transformation

During 2025–26, I participated in Art as Social Transformation at St. Sigfrids Folkhögskola led by Jens Strandberg and Oona Linke, a course that explored how artistic strategies can challenge and reshape power relations between ecology, rural and urban environments, and human and more-than-human worlds. Through practical experimentation, collective making, and engagement with alternative ways of living, we explored how artistic practices can contribute to social and political transformation.

The course culminated in our participation in the Småland Triennial, whose theme was “ORO: Art, Preparedness, Resistance.”

I created the horror role-playing game KF-HUSET to explore the themes of the course and the triennial through fiction and enactment. Tomas Frankenstein Auran, Maria Björn, Edwina Primananda, Saba Moeni and Su SANO played the game with me during the spring, and we presented it as a live performance at Konstfrämjandet Skåne in April 2026.

At the end of the course, we organised 12 Timmar at St. Sigfrids Folkhögskola, a 12-hour event filled with art, happenings, and performances. I participated with the work Vardagsmonument, and ended the day with an anxiety-themed DJ set together with Radio ORO and Mycelia (Su SANO).

We also produced Fleeting Visitors, a publication that can be read as a book, used for divination, or played with as a deck of cards. I was part of the editorial team, and all course participants contributed cards. The publication was launched at 12 Timmar.
